SoE Reporting

State of the Environment Reporting (SoE) has its roots in triple bottom line accountability and is primarily a strategic reporting tool for various levels of business and Government to acknowledge past, as well as forecast to its operations and constituents transactions and events concerning:

  • Natural Resources (land, air water, biodiversity) together with an assessment of the status and conditions of major environmental resources together with trends in economic analysis and the costs and benefits (including economic evaluation) of environment protection,
  • Environmental Impacts from operations (waste, noise, etc) and environmental trends, including the future implications for the environment and human health
  • Heritage – indigenous and non-indigenous
  • Management plans relating to the environment, and a review of programs and activities of public authorities and of the private sector related to environment protection and any special projects relating to the environment
  • A statement on the performance of the entity in meeting its objectives and goals
